Mathematics
Mathematics instruction at Jamerson is aligned to the Florida Mathematics Standards. Teachers collaborate to plan problem-based lessons, requiring students to think critically to solve meaningful problems. Student discourse and conceptual understanding of concepts is emphasized. Mathematics concepts are also applied to engineering design problems.
Mathematics Enhancement Components
1. Regular progress monitoring to focus instruction on student needs

3. Learning through engineering to measure with precision and collect/analyze data
4. Dreambox – challenging math homework opportunities provided at each child’s current level
