School Tours

Douglas L. Jamerson, Jr. Elementary is a nationally-recognized, award-winning STEM magnet school, dedicated to educating the whole child. In close partnership with families, our teachers ignite a love of learning through a unique, integrated engineering curriculum that is designed to engage students in hands-on learning that connects mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies, in meaningful ways. All students learn to think like engineers and develop habits of mind that will benefit them, in school and in life, no matter what future they pursue.

Please sign up for a tour below, indicating how many people will be in your group. Prospective students are welcomed to join their family on the tour, but know that there will be about a 25-minute presentation and then walking around campus. It can be a lot for little ones. Discovery Night and Expo Night may be a better time to bring your student.

On tour day, please arrive around 9:00am, in order to have time to get signed in and get a visitor's pass. Please bring your driver's license, as it will need to be scanned for security purposes. We must have a physical government ID in order to have you on campus (not a photo of it). If you have any questions, please call me at 727-552-1703 x2305.

In addition to a tour, we hope you will sign up for Discovery Night on 12/3 (see sign-up slot below). This is a kid-friendly night to bring your student along, learn more about DLJ, and chat with teachers and current families. Be sure to scroll down to 12/3 to sign up for that one, in addition to our daytime tour.
